At a glance Overview The TruVision people counting cameras are dual lens cameras that count people with high accuracy. The cameras use binocular stereo vision in combination with 3D people detection and deep learning algorithms. There is both an indoor (TVS-PC2) and an outdoor model (TVS-PC1) available. The people counting data is stored in an internal memory and it can be reported in real time to TruVision Navigator (9.0SP2 or higher) or to the SDK. The camera webpage contains several reporting options via direct export or email. Installation As a general guideline, one camera should monitor one entrance. The camera is mounted on the ceiling and looks 90° downwards. The mounting height can be between 2.1 and 6 m. The camera has a fixed 2 mm lens and produces a color image (2MP). This results in a counting zone width between 1.02 (at 2.1 m camera height) and 8.16 m (at 6 m camera height). However, the camera cannot be used for surveillance applications due to its specific installation position: it can only monitor the passage way, and not an entire room or a larger space. Integrated solution The camera can report the counting data in real time to TruVision Navigator (9.0SP2 or higher). TruVision Navigator can calculate the on-site occupancy of multiple cameras and show the real-time result in a video tile, on a map or on a webpage (via LAN). Stand-alone solution In a standalone operation, the camera will count the number of people that go in/out. When needed, a value can be set for the maximum permitted number of people that can be on site. The camera can report the counted number of people per day/week/month/year. The report can be exported. It is also possible to send reports by email in various formats (Excel, CSV, text or XML). Applications The solution can be used for health & safety purposes: it gives real time information about the number of visitors on site in line with social distancing rules during a pandemic situation or to know in real time how many people are on site in case of an evacuation.
